Ventura's Iconic Cross

Recently this iconic cross was in a battle with a national association of attorneys to remove it. It was eventually sold to a private party with a stipulation that the trees around it would never be trimmed. The idea seemed to be that the cross would eventually be covered up by the growth of the trees. The fires have burned the trees that were going to hide the cross. But that old wooden cross still stands as a witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Let us be like this old cross and stay strong in our faith in God. That nothing...nothing can stop the love of God and nothing can separate us from God's love
